Adelaja Adenuga Celebrates The Alaporu of Ilaporu On His Birthday

…Commends Ijebu North youths over peaceful coexistence, facilitate free NIN registration for the youths.

Dr Adelaja Adenuga, the founder of the Adelaja Adenuga Foundation has sent congratulatory messages to the Alaporu of Ilaporu, Oba Jimoh Adebamiro Quadri on the occasion of his birthday. Describing the monarch as a patriotic leader with a passion for the growth and development of his domain in Ilaporu and its environs, Adelaja urged other community leaders to emulate the remarkable legacies of the traditional ruler.

Adelaja while thanking God for the grace and opportunity for the king to witness another year in the land of the living prayed for that long may his reign be, that God will bless him with a sound mind, great health, long life and prosperity. “I pray that the good Lord will grant His Royal Majesty the good health and grace that is needed to pilot the affairs of his kingdom and the wisdom to continue offering valuable contributions to the development of our dear state and Nigeria”.

While expecting the Alaporu of Ilaporu as the Royal Father of the day at the Adelaja Adenuga Foundation Easter Youth Program which has been put together for the in-school and out-of-school youths of Ijebu North from Ago Iwoye, Oru, Ilaporu, Ijebu Igbo, Awa, Ibakan Isale, Ibakan Oke, Odosapo, and Falafonmu on Easter Saturday, April 16th 2022 at St. Andrew’s Primary School, Ilaporu, close to Oru, Ijebu, Ogun State by 10:00 am where there would be debating among the in-school youths in pure Ijebu dialect on ‘’should youths participate in local governance?’’ Also, another debate will hold among the teachers, tertiary school students, artisans and so on, on ‘’Ijebu-nationals and their contributions to the development of the nation Nigeria’’ in the Ijebu dialect as well.

Apart from the Alaporu of Ilaporu as the Royal Father of the day, we are also expecting Hon. Prince Adekoya, Adesegun Abdel-Majid, (Attacker) the Deputy Minority Whip, Federal House of Representatives, Abuja as the Distinguished Guest of Honour; Rt. Hon. Dr Tokunbo Oshin Former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly the Special Guest of honour; Veteran Actor Dele Odule as the chairman and Pa Zaccheus Adekoya, the state chairman, Association of Retired Primary School Headteacher Teachers of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter as the Guest of honour among other dignitaries.

In his remarks to the Ijebu North Youths on the Easter Youth Program his foundation is organizing, he commended the youths for their disposition towards mutual understanding and community peaceful coexistence, emphasizing that they should continue to embrace peace in its totality and eschew vices and acts that can lead to community clash and violence especially as the 2023 general elections is fast approach. The philanthropist admonished that youths should continue to live in peace, by being serious with their education and businesses for those not in schools and be law-abiding citizens who genuinely respect constituted authority.

“As youths, we need to promote community peace, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence because when there is trouble in the land we cannot live in peace, development cannot take place and there can never be an election that is free, fair, and credible. Another responsibility of a citizen is to cast his or her vote. The law does not force or require citizens to vote, but voting is a very important part of any democratic setting. By voting, citizens are participating in the democratic process of their nation.”

“Citizens vote for leaders to represent them and their ideas, and the leaders support the citizens’ interests. Let us be aware that election is not war but a time for us to participate by voting wisely for the candidate that can help secure our future” Adelaja noted.

To enhance the National Identification Number easily as many community members have not registered till now, there will be free NIN registration at the Easter youth program for those that have not yet registered and that will commence by 8.00 am till the end of the program.
